Cook smarter, not harder! I haven’t heard anyone else use this statement in the kitchen, but I always do. When it comes to making meals for the family, I try to keep it simple but delicious. Remember the sweet & savory balsamic chicken recipe, skillet sausage & zucchini recipe and the teriyaki chicken casserole recipe? Speaking of which you should definitely give this chicken noodle casserole recipe a try, you’ll love it.
Most of us love casserole recipes, because they are usually pretty simple and straight forward. Take this one for example, everything is mixed in one bowl, then baked for about 30 minutes and just like that dinner is ready. As that is not enough, you can even prep your casserole and then freeze it for cooking at a later date. I guess that would also make this a ‘freezer meal’ too. As you can see all the elements of an easy dinner meal, are bundled into this one recipe.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- egg noodles
- cream of chicken soup
- mayo
- milk
- cooked chicken
- cheddar cheese
- onion
- frozen peas & carrots
- garlic powder
- salt & pepper
- parsley
- sharp knife
- medium stockpot
- cutting board
- grater
- casserole dish
- non-stick cooking spray
- large bowl
There is quite a bit of prep work required for this recipe. For instance the noodles should be cooked then drained, the chicken cooked then diced, the cheese shredded and the onions finely chopped. Only then can you move on to combining all the ingredients in the large bowl. I learn’t the hard way that the noodles should be the last to go in. LOL. Pop the dish into your oven to bake and the garnish with the parsley, before serving. Enjoy! 🙂
