DIY Potting Soil Mix For Blueberries

It’s the berry that keeps on giving! Yes, I am talking about the antioxidant loaded blueberry my friends. We have already covered how to grow blueberries and how to prune blueberries in previous posts, be sure to check them out if you missed those. Today we are focusing on how to make homemade potting soil mix specifically for your blueberries.

If you’re really an avid gardener, you should always be ready to absorb these harvest boosting container gardening tips. For example, I don’t know if you knew that blueberries thrive in acidic soils. This is why just stuffing your containers with any ordinary potting soil mix will simply not work. Also keep in mind that instead of vinegar, coffee grounds and Sulphur can be used to acidify your soil mix.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Initially we want to mix the soil for the containers. All you need to do is measure out equal amounts of the potting soil and the peat moss. Next, fill up your container with your soil mix and then plant your blueberries. When you have planted your blueberry plants and tested the pH of the soil, you can then pour in the vinegar water solution if you need to acidify the soil.
