Oh boy, oh boy! How I hate flies. Seriously I will try pretty much anything that works in my never ending battle to eradicate all flies. In previous posts I have shown you how to make this homemade king fly trap and this homemade fruit trap. Today I thought I would share this DIY fly spray for your goats.
Typically, they are quite a number of different formulas when it comes to homemade fly sprays. This particular one has a simpler version of it which requires 3 ingredients only and the enhanced version which adds some essential oils. I use this mainly for our goats, but it should work for your horses and cows too.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- apple cider vinegar
- water
- Avon Skin So Soft
- Rosemary essential oil
- Lavender essential oil
- Peppermint essential oil
- Citronella essential oil
- spray bottle
As already stated above this is a super simple recipe. All I do really is just add all the ingredients into the spray bottle and give it a good shake. Some of the animals don’t enjoy being sprayed, in which case you can try spraying the repellent onto a cloth and then rub it onto their fur.
