I am like a rabbit, I love carrots. They are a good source of beta-carotene which the body turns into Vitamin A. They are also great to snack on, also called a healthy snack.
So what if I told you that you could grow your own secret stash of carrots in a plastic soda bottle, by your kitchen window sill. Well you can and you probably have everything you need right now in your home. Sit back, relax and get ready to munch on.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- 2L empty plastic soda bottle
- Utility knife
- Potting soil
- Carrot seeds
- Plant nutrient
Before you get started make sure you rinse and clean your plastic soda bottle. The utility knife is used to cut off the top part of the bottom and then to create slits in the bottom, to allow for damage. The bottle itself will be filled up with at least 7 inches of potting soil and seeds can be planted in a circular pattern.
On average you can plant about 10 seeds in your new planter. After you water it for the first time, make sure it is completely soaked. It will take between 14 to 21 days before your seeds begin to sprout. Keep the soil moist and also make sure the planter is not getting too much direct sunlight.
