It has been a while since, I have shared a steak or beef recipe with you guys, so I thought today would be the perfect day to change that. I think the last beef recipe was the delicious mongolian beef ramen noodles recipe. Well this pepper steak with onions recipe, is not fancy but boy does it taste good.
Simple, quick dinner recipe that you can make in just 35 minutes, using ingredients that are readily available in any kitchen. If you are not a red meat fan, don’t worry you can use chicken or fish instead. I am still to try it with either one of those. As for what to serve with it, you cannot go wrong with either rice or mashed potatoes.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- chuck steak
- onion
- bell pepper
- red bell pepper
- black pepper
- salt
- water
- oil
- soy sauce
- cornstarch
- sugar
- water
- onion powder
- garlic powder
- ginger powder
- pan or skillet
- cutting board
- knife
Heat your oil in the pan and brown your steak. It is easier if you do it in batches. Next, saute the onions and then set aside, followed by the bell peppers. With the onions and peppers done, it is time to tenderize the meat. Add it to the pan, season with salt and pepper and allow to cook for about 45 minutes on medium heat in water.
As soon as your meat is ready, you can then reintroduce the onions and bell peppers. For the sauce you will mix the rest of the ingredients in a small bowl and then pour into the pan. At this point you are almost done, just give the sauce a good stir and in a few minutes it will start to get thicker. Remove from the heat when your sauce has reached your desired thickness. Dinner is ready! 🙂
