We have already done the homemade ketchup recipe, next we target the homemade mayonnaise recipe. These are both products we have grown used to just purchasing from the local grocery store. However, if you could make your own, would you at least try to? I am definitely going to try this recipe, who knows this may taste way better than the store version, as it has less preservatives mixed into it. This one is almost au naturale, if it was not for the one tablespoon of dijon mustard. Hmmmm, maybe that can be replaced with something else.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Here Are The Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 Tablespoon white wine vinegar
- 1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 cup grape-seed oil or peanut oil
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
You will also need a blender. A food processor could work too and if you don’t have those two appliances, you can just take your wooden spoon and use your own man power. It works well if you are only making small batches. For larger batches, a food processor or blender is recommended. Don’t forget the jar, you will use to store the mayonnaise after you have made it. The actual recipe, is just a matter of mixing the ingredients and blending them together.
