Skillet Sausage & Zucchini Recipe

Sometimes you just find these recipes that bring together your favorite ingredients. I love me some homemade sausage and then throw in the zucchinis that we grow in our garden. You can easily whip up this skillet and sausage recipe in just 20 minutes in your kitchen. That is 10 minutes prep time and 10 minutes cooking time. It’s simple, fast, delicious and healthy.

Naturally some of you are going to ask which type of sausage should I use? Well, that is the best part of this recipe, use which ever sausage you like. It doesn’t really matter. Also instead of olive oil you can opt to use avocado oil for cooking the ingredients. If you like things a little on the hot and spicy side, feel free to sprinkle some red pepper flakes or your preferred hot peppers. For the health nuts, this recipe is Whole30 compliant, dairy free as well as gluten free.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Firstly you want to prep your sausage, zucchini,onion and bell pepper as instructed in the recipe. When you have all your ingredients ready you can then move on to heating your oil in the skillet and saute-ing your sausage. Set aside the sausage so that you can cook the other ingredients in the same skillet. Finally the sausage comes back into the mix, with the garlic. The recipe says cover the skillet to heat up everything, but often I just leave it open. Naughty, naughty me… I know! 🙂
