Let’s face it, no one really enjoys hand washing their clothes. You may have already made this homemade washing detergent and this homemade fabric softener. However, you will still need this diy two bucket washing machine to get your clothes washed. Today’s post will show you exactly how to make one.
I remember there was once a time when I spent countless hours on the internet looking for homemade washing machine plans. I eventually gave up the search at that time, only to discover this simple setup a few months ago. What I love about this system is not only is it easy to build, it is also easy to use. It does not require any electricity and is designed to save you that precious resource, we call water.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- 5 gallon buckets
- toilet plunger
- handheld drill
- sandpaper
- rope
- carabiner (optional)
We start work on the first bucket drilling holes on the sides and the bottom. The sandpaper is used to smooth everything out. One of the lid needs a hole in the center that the plunger handle can fit through. Also the plunger rubber itself needs some holes to be drilled into it. And that’s the basic setup for your hand bucket washing machine. Time to do some laundry! 🙂
