How To Dry Fresh Herbs Using An Air Fryer

Nope! That amazing appliance in your kitchen, known as an air fryer is not only for making delicious healthy meals. Yes, I know in the past we have made this air fryer pork chops recipe and I’ve even shared how to deep clean your air fryer. Nevertheless, are you ready to learn how to dry fresh herbs using an air fryer?

I personally still get super excited when I discover new air fryer recipes as well as new ways to use my air fryer. The good thing is that you can dry both medicinal and culinary herbs such as basil, oregano, rosemary, mint, mullein, valerian and many more. Although you can choose between drying or dehydrating the herbs, both methods will help you preserve your fresh herbs. The dried herbs can then be stored whole or crushed. For me it usually depends on how much time I have available.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Make sure you wash your herbs first and then dry them using paper towels. Although you can weight them down, I prefer to tie my herbs with twine before placing them in the air fryer basket. Fire up your fryer for about 4 minutes and your herbs should crumble easily in your fingers when dry. Allow the herbs to cool on parchment paper before storing in air tight containers.
