Of the many homemade ice cream recipes I’ve attempted in the past, I honestly prefer the ones that you churn in your ice cream maker. There’s just something about using that machine, that makes the ice cream taste way better. However, unlike store bought ice cream, it is not recommended that you keep your homemade version in the freezer for more than 4 days. Just make it in small batches and enjoy it guilt free for a day or two.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

I usually start by heating all the ingredients except the goat cheese on medium heat. Do not bring to a boil, just remember to stir every now and again. The goat cheese is then incorporated into the mixture using a whisk. I’ve found that it’s best to refrigerate the mixture overnight before churning it in your ice cream maker, first thing the following morning.
