Homemade Soy Sauce Recipe

I can’t believe that after all these years, I still haven’t shared my favorite homemade soy sauce recipe with you guys on here. We have looked at how to make homemade ketchup, homemade mayonnaise and even homemade dijon mustard in earlier posts. Well they say better late, than never so let’s get right to it, shall we?

When it comes to making healthy homemade condiments in your kitchen, you always want to keep it as simple as possible. This particular recipe requires 6 ingredients, that should be readily available in your pantry. I would recommend that you make your own homemade apple cider vinegar as well as homemade beef broth, instead of using the store bought versions. Also this non traditional gluten free recipe does away with the soy, wheat and the often tedious fermentation process.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

This easy recipe has you combining all the liquid ingredients in the saucepan first. You then add all the dry ingredients to spice up the sauce, before leaving the mixture to simmer on medium to low heat. They say you’ll get the best flavors when you let it simmer until only half of it is left in the saucepan. I like to follow instructions (sometimes) so that is exactly what do. *Big Grin* The sauce stores well in an air tight container, preferably in your fridge.
