A week ago, I featured a natural homemade ginger ale recipe on here. That was before I found out that you can grow ginger indoors in containers. Apparently ginger, is actually one of the easiest kitchen scraps to grow. Armed with this new information, we can now grow an unlimited supply, that is always readily available when you need it. You can just remove what you need to use, and then replant what you do not use. Use the ginger in your cooking, for medicinal purposes or if you do not fancy eating it, it still looks great as an indoor plant in your home.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Chunk of ginger
- Container
- Potting soil
Step By Step Instructions:
- Take your chunk of ginger and place it on top of the potting soil.
Your placement is important, the new buds should be facing upwards. - Place your container or pot in an area that does not get direct sunlight.
- Keep watering it until you start to see new sprouts and roots.
- To harvest, remove the whole plant from the soil and cut off what you need.
- You can replant what is left, like you did in step one above.
Remember, your new ginger plant does not require direct sunlight like most other indoor plants. Enjoy!
