Homemade Dishwasher Rinse Aid Recipe

Let’s talk about everyone’s favorite kitchen chore… doing the dishes! LOL. Unlike most people, I personally don’t mind doing the dishes. If you use a dishwasher in your home, you’re are going to like this homemade dishwasher rinse aid recipe. Just like the homemade floor cleaner recipe and the homemade oven cleaner recipe, it is not only convenient but also very easy on the pocket.

As with most homemade cleaning solutions, you’ll only need a few ingredients to make this. Actually with just 2 simple ingredients you can have your own chemical free rinse aid, that cleans just as well as any of the other popular store brands. I timed my self the last I made a batch, it took me less than 60 seconds to whip up. There are other all natural versions that use vinegar and water, if you prefer those just check out the videos below.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Step By Step Instructions

Step 1.

Add your hydrogen peroxide to the jar.

Step 2.

Add your drops of essential oil.

Step 3.

Screw on the lid and give the jar a good shake to mix well.

Step 4.

Pour into the rinse aid compartment of your dishwasher.

That’s it. Now you can load up your dirty dishes, add the detergent and you’re ready to run the dishwasher. Your dishes should come out looking sparkling clean and drier just as if you had used the more expensive store bought versions. Depending on how often you run your dishes, this homemade solution should last up to 30 days, after which you just simply refill. Happy dish washing! 🙂
