If there is one ingredient that you can find in most of the homemade healthy stuff that you are told to take or consume, this is it. From the homemade cold sore remedy, to the homemade electrolytes for goats and even the homemade fruit and veggie wash recipe. This is why I believe it is important that you know how to make homemade apple cider vinegar, right there in your own kitchen.
As I hinted above, apple cider vinegar has many health benefits. Initially I would always have a bottle in the house from the grocery store. However, ever since I mastered the art of making my own, I know just make it at home. It helps that, only 3 common ingredients are needed. If there is one thing that I do not like, it is how long I have to wait for it to be ready. Arrrghhh!
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- distilled water
- organic apples
- raw sugar
- mason jar
- lid or ring
- cheesecloth
Well the good news is that you have options on what you can use as far as the apples are concerned. You can either use whole apples or just the scraps left over from other recipes. Pretty much, everything is stuffed and added to the jar which is then kept in a cool dry place undisturbed for an initial 14 days. Altogether it will takes about 6 weeks for the vinegar to be ready.
