Easy Fish Stew Recipe

Just as there are many different ways to catch a fish, there are also many different ways to cook it. I have already shared a few of my favorite recipes, such as the cajun blackened catfish recipe and the honey mustard salmon recipe. Today I was feeling a little ‘fishy’ so I decided to make this easy fish stew recipe for dinner.

Truth be told, most fish recipes are easy to prepare, and this particular one conforms to that stereotype. Instead of using fresh fish, you can use salted fish, however be prepare to soak it for at least 24 hours before making your stew. Feel free to add, replace or remove any of the ingredients as you make this recipe your own. It should be ready within 20 minutes, minus the prep time of course.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Use the recipe as a guideline for prepping your ingredients before you can get start making the broth. I then go on to saute the onion and garlic in a little oil in the skillet for about 3 minutes. The diced tomato goes in next, followed by the coconut milk, sour cream and the tomato paste.

Leave to cook for another 3 minutes before you can add the peppers and the fish. The salt, pepper and the red pepper flakes are for seasoning before you cover with the lid and let everything cook for at least 10 minutes. The cilantro is used for garnishing, and can be sprinkled over when serving your stew.
