We do not actually have a garbage disposal in our kitchen, as we tend to compost most of our kitchen scraps. However just like the homemade dryer sheets and homemade dish tablets recipe, I felt I could share this as someone else might find this information useful. I am talking about these homemade garbage disposal refreshers, that you can make in your kitchen.
For any nasty smells emanating from your garbage disposal, you can use these to fight the stank. Who knew that throwing together a few common ingredients, that can be found in any kitchen could help you control those nasty smells. This is a cost effective solution, that will save you a lot of money in the long run. There is nothing stopping you from trying these out.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- baking soda
- salt
- liquid dish soap
- lemon
- sheet pan
- parchment paper
- small spoon or scoop
- sealable glass jar
- mixing bowl
- grater
The recipe is a pretty easy, which is always a good thing. Measure out your ingredients, add them into the mixing bowl and mix well. The next step involves grating the lemon peel into the bowl and then adding the dish soap last. All that’s left is to add some lemon juice, scoop onto the sheet pan and leave to dry preferably overnight. Store in an air tight container in a cool, dry place.
