Whenever I throw tilapia into the oven or even just grill it, my mouth starts watering before the fish is ready! LOL. Have you seen the other recipes i.e. the sauted tilapia with garlic herb butter sauce recipe and the one pot seafood pasta recipe. I have already shared on this blog. You can try those too after you have tried this roasted tilapia with mustard sauce recipe.
The jury is still out when it comes to tilapia recipes, whether it is easier to cook fillets or just the whole fish, including the delicious head. This recipe requires 8 ingredients, and is super easy even a caveman could make this. Your meal will be ready to be enjoyed in just about 20 minutes and you should be able to serve four hungry mouths comfortably. Mmmm, the sauce… the sauce is just to die for.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- tilapia fillets
- kosher salt
- black pepper
- sour cream
- Dijon mustard
- whole-grain mustard
- minced shallots
- capers
- salt
- pepper
- parchment paper
- small bowl
- sheet pan
Since we will be utilizing the oven today, the first thing we must do before getting started is to get that oven preheated. Then you move on to seasoning the fillets on the sheet pan, before mixing the mustard sauce in the bowl. When combined the fillets should be completely covered with the mustard sauce before you can pop them into the oven. The fish is ready when it flakes easily, start checking on it after about 10 minutes in the oven. I love to serve this with rice.
