One Pot Seafood Pasta Recipe

I try by all means to incorporate seafood into our meals. It is harder since we live off grid and nowhere near the ocean. Although in the past, I have made the shrimp and sausage skillet recipe and sauteed tilapia with garlic herb butter recipe. A few years back, my friend Marilyn gave me this one pot seafood pasta recipe.

What I love about this particular recipe is that at the end of the day, you only have one pot to clean. This saves a lot of time and energy, especially after you have been working all day on the homestead. You can also pick and choose which seafood you want to include from shrimp, clams, mussels, scallops as well as squid. Not to mention it is an easy recipe, which should be ready in just about 30 minutes.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • shrimp
  • clams
  • mussels
  • scallops
  • spaghetti
  • olive oil
  • garlic
  • whole peeled tomatoes
  • basil leaves
  • salt
  • sugar
  • parsley
  • large saucepan
  • blender or food processor
  • skillet
  • knife
  • chopping board

Cook and drain your spaghetti as you normally would. Go on to blend your tomatoes to make the sauce. Heat your olive oil in the skillet and saute your garlic. Then add the clams, scallops and shrimp. Give everything a goo stir before adding the sauce and basil.

Leave the seafood to cook for a few minutes, when almost done you can season with the salt as well as the sugar. It is time to add the cooked spaghetti into the skillet and then give everything a good stir making sure to mix well with the sauce. This dish should be served whilst hot, with chopped parsley as garnish, if available.
