I am always giddy when I get to use coconut oil in anything. The health benefits of this one ingredients are astounding. I have shown you how to make homemade coconut oil and also homemade coconut whipped cream recipe, which all use this oil. Today we will be adding on to that list with this homemade coconut oil lotion recipe.
There are probably a million homemade lotion recipes, you could choose from on the internet. I chose this one because its not only super simple, but it uses one of my favorite ingredients which is coconut oil. Besides that, you will only need one other ingredient unless of course you want to add some essential oils for different scents. Also if the coconut scent bothers you then you may want to use an Expeller Pressed Coconut Oil instead.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- extra virgin coconut oil
- vitamin E capsules
- hand mixer or stand mixer
- medium bowl
- mason jar with plastic lid
- essential oils (optional)
The recipe itself is one of those two step recipes, that we all love. I usually just measure out all my ingredients into the bowl, and then go to work with the mixer in there. How much time you spend whipping up your coconut oil, will determine how smooth you want your lotion to be. Store in air tight jars, preferably with plastic lids especially if storing in your bathroom.
