Is your air fryer in need of some serious deep cleaning? Worry not, we can have it sparkling clean in a jiffy. Just like the previous posts on how to clean the bottom of your pots and pans, how to clean burnt food off your pots and even how to clean old cookie sheets. In today’s blog post, you’ll discover how to deep clean your air fryer, in just a few minutes.
Generally speaking, how often do you deep clean your kitchen appliances? Typically, I find that the more often I regularly clean my appliances, the less often deep cleaning is required. Therefore as a rule of thumb, I try to deep clean my air fryer at least once a month. I use this simple five step process, that only needs a few basic things lying around your kitchen to get the job done. The air fryer actually looks like it has been professionally cleaned, after you’re done with it.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- baking soda
- liquid dish soap
- boiling water
- micro fiber cloth
- vinegar
- soft scrubbing bush
- water
- spray bottle
- fresh lemon juice (optional)
Step By Step Instructions:
Step 1.
Sprinkle baking soda over the basket.
Step 2.
Drizzle some liquid dish soap over the basket.
Step 3.
Pour in some boiling water and allow it sit for a few minutes.
Step 4.
Spray 50/50 vinegar and water solution, then wipe down all surfaces with a cloth.
Step 5.
Scrub baskets with a soft brush and rinse well.
That’s all there is to it. For those hard to reach areas you can use a butter knife and cloth. This simple step by step approach should be sufficient to clean your air fryer whenever it needs deep cleaning. Optionally, you can also add a few drops of fresh lemon juice to the vinegar/water spray. Go ahead, give it a try today and see for yourself.
