Well no one knows exactly how it happens, but at some point in the life of our pots and pans, the bottoms will end up filthy. It’s not even because we neglect them, it just happens. In earlier posts we have already covered how to clean oven racks and also how to clean cast iron without soap. In today’s post, I will be showing you how to easily clean the bottom of your pots or pans.
From past experience, I know that these diy cleaning hacks are very popular on this blog. Especially, the easier ones such as this one which only requires 2 simple ingredients that are readily available in any pantry. Even better, you’ll be happy to know that there is no special equipment or scrubbies needed. Obviously the time it takes to clean your pots will depend on how dirty the ‘bottoms’ are, the dirtier the longer the process, of course.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- vinegar
- baking soda
- water
Step By Step Instructions:
Step 1.
Sprinkle the baking soda on the bottom of your pan and pat it on real good.
Step 2.
Pour a little vinegar on top of the baking soda.
Step 3.
Use two to three fingers to gently rub the mixture on the bottom of your pan.
Step 4.
If needed, add more baking soda and just keep ‘scrubbing’ with your fingers.
Step 5.
Rinse your pot or pan off in the kitchen sink, under running water.
Feel free to repeat steps 1 to 5, as needed. Depending on how dirty the bottom of your pan is, it may take one or two applications to get it clean. Just be patient, and you’ll start to see the shine returning to the bottom of your pots or pans as you clean. It’s not rocket science, but it works! Try it today! 🙂
