You know that every now and again I like to include something fancy on this blog. Remember when I shared the diy outdoor cabana lounge or the diy wire basket side table? Well, if you do then I am sure you are ready for today’s post on how to make this diy tassel chandelier.
If you look at all those other diy chandelier projects, you probably will find some really cool projects you can try. This one isn’t too complicated, there is just a lot of repetitive tasks involved. I have seen other pictured of this exact same design, but instead of using one color for the yarn, you use two or three different ones. That would really make it pop out, don’t you think?
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- yarn
- embroidery hoops
- scissors
- picture frame
- cotton string
- gold chain
- flat nose pliers
The first task at hand is wrapping the yarn around the picture frame. They say 50 times is a good number I would just wrapped mine until I felt it was enough. You probably have to watch the video to understand what is really going on, as there will be some knotting, grouping, folding and more to make the tassels. The tassels will have to be attached to the hoops and the whole chandelier assembled with the chains being the last to be attached so you can hang it.
