What is it about side tables, that makes us need sooo much? I mean whatever happened to just holding our things in our hands, huh? LOL Anywho, I have shared a few ideas with you already like the diy patio side table and the diy wood pallet end table. But that won’t stop me from sharing this diy wire basket side table also.
It really surprises me how expensive some of these side tables can be, especially the really ‘fancy’ looking ones. Thank goodness, with a little ingenuity we can make our own for a fraction of the price, using up-cycled or salvaged materials. Heck you know what, you could even just go buy a wire basket for a few bucks if you can not find one. Half an hour is all you need to complete this project.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- wire basket
- paint
- paint brush
- round wood panel
- wood stainer & sealer
- cable staples
If you are going to be giving your wire basket a new coat of paint, then that will be the first order of business. While you wait for that to dry you can go on to prepping the table top, that will involve staining and sealing it. With the two components in hand, all that is left to do is attach the basket to the table top and voila, you have a new side table! 🙂
