DIY Fabric Tortilla Warmer

Here’s something your probably don’t have in your kitchen and didn’t even know you needed. But have no fear, we’ll have you sorted in a giffy! LOL. In the past, I have shown you how to make these diy reusable mircrowave popcorn bags, this diy fabric jar opener and these diy reusable snack bags. If you mastered any of the above mentioned then you should have no problems with this diy tortilla warmer too.

This would probably be classified as a beginner sewing project. However, some beginners may get a little confused when dealing with the number of fabric cuts and also with sewing in a circle on the machine. In which case, I would recommend that you just stick to hand sewing. Although, it may not come out as tidy as machine sewn, but it will still warm up your tortillas. It is also highly recommended that you only use 100% cotton fabric for this project.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Determine the size of your warmer, before you can start cutting out your fabric into circles. Tracing around a plate or bowl with a marker and then using a pair of scissors to cut along the marked line is probably the easiest way to do this. There’s two pairs of padded circles that will be sandwiched together to form the warmer and then the bias tape will be sewn long the edges. I know it all seems a little confusing, however there are pictures included with the instructions. 🙂
