Usually when it is snack time, out comes the ziploc bags. Not anymore, we are going to change that today. Just like the diy reusable cling wrap and the diy fabric bowl covers, I am going to share the perfect alternative. Of course, we are talking about these diy reusable snack bags, duh! LMAO
If like me you like the simple beginner level sewing projects, then you are in luck. Not only is this easy to sew, you could also just use a needle and some thread if you do not have access to a sewing machine. You want to switch to these because not only will you be saving some money in the long run, you are also going to be environmentally friendly by reducing the amount of plastic waste.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- fabric
- velcro
- pins
- scissors
- ribbon
- ziploc bag
- pencil
- sewing machine
If you can visualize the finished bag, then the whole process becomes easier. What is really is a square that has an opening on one side. Use the zip top bag as your template, and carefully cut along the lines. Follow the instructions to attach the ribbon and the Velcro, before folding in half and sewing the sides. Remember, you want to do the sewing whilst the bag is inside out.
