Hey you, it’s laundry time. Although some people actually enjoy doing laundry, I am not one of them. For our laundry we have made diy laundry detergent, homemade fabric softener recipe as well as this diy mobile laundry station. Then I had the brilliant idea of installing this diy drop down laundry table too.
This of it it is an awesome space saving hack. The table folds up when you need to use it, and is held up by a pair of legs. The table and the legs fold out of the way, when it is not in use. This frees up more space in your laundry room, especially if it is already a bit tight. I will be choosing fabric with bright colors, just to brighten up the room a little.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- 3/4″ MDF sheet
- 2″ x 4″ boards
- 3″ screws
- door hinges w/screws
- staple gun
- level
- fabric
- paint and brushes
- tape measure
- miter saw
There are quite a few measurements that you are going to have to make for this one. For instance, you have to decide how high you want the table off the ground, then you also have to decide how long and how wide you want it. Once you have figured that out, you can then make your cuts.
Next, you want to attach the board to your wall, then attach your hinges to the MDF sheet first before attaching them to the board. Your legs are next, before you can move on to painting and stapling on the fabric. The last step can be done before, attaching to the wall too, whatever is easier for you.
