Homemade Fabric Softener Recipe

Laundry day has never been my favorite day, it is worse these days with all the dirt that accumlates on clothes from our daily activities. The homemade laundry detergent recipe that we made a while back does wonders, now I will add this homemade fabric softener too, to keep the laundry nice and soft.

I love that this recipe allows you to use the softener in either liquid form when washing your clothes or you can make little dryer sheets and pop them in your dryer. It is also a super simple recipe, will take you at the most 5 minutes to have a fresh batch ready to go.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • water
  • vinegar
  • hair conditioner
  • container
  • large bowl
  • wash cloth (optional)
  • spray bottle (optional)

All you have to do is add all your ingredients into a mixing bowl, and mix well before transfering into your container for storage. You can even heat up the vinegar and the hair conditioner a little in your microwave to make it easier for you to mix them together.

If you are going to use dryer sheets, simply spritz a little fabric softener on a wash cloth before popping that into your dryer. This recipe allows you to make as much as you need or you can store. Just adjust the quantities to suit your needs.
