How To Plant Tomatoes In A Wall O’ Water

I hope you are ready to have some water walls standing in your garden, all spring long. LOL. In today’s post we shall be taking a look at how to plant tomatoes in wall of waters. In previous posts we have covered growing different tomato varieties from how to grow heirloom tomatoes to how to grow indigo rose tomatoes as well as how to grow cherry tomatoes.

Have you figured out which tomato varieties you will be planting in your garden this season? If you are unlucky to live in zones, where the last frost is experienced as far as the end of May, you may want to consider using wall-o-waters for your tomato plants. You will then be able to plant your tomatoes as early as February and they will be protected from any extreme cold temperatures.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Generally your wall o’ water will consist of some heavy plastic that has cells which you can then fill with water. However, before setting it up, you have to plant your tomato seedlings first. Only after the seedlings are in the ground and fertilized can you then set up the wall o’waters around them to provide the protection they need. I have them in my garden until the last frost and then I remove them, although I understand you can leave them in all season long.
