There are so many things out there that we tend to just go out and buy, when we could easily make them at home. Remember the diy fitted sheets, I showed you how to make a few months back? Well, today I decided to add something else to your bedding closet. Wanna learn how to make a bed skirt from a flat sheet?
The good news is that you won’t be needing your sewing machine for this one. Yes, there will be no sewing involved. Even better, you can just pick any one of your favorite sheets and convert them into a bed skirt. This would be a great way to reuse an old sheet, especially one developing holes in the middle section. The mattress will sit on top of the skirt and cover up all those imperfections.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- flat sheet
- upholstery twist pins
- steam iron (optional)
The size of your bed will determine the size of the sheet that you will be using. You want to lay the sheet flat on the box spring and then use the pins to to adjust length and corners. The whole process is just folding the sheet in the right places and holding it together using the pins. Ironing the seams helps to give that perfect tailor finished look.
