Nope this is not the Wack A Mole game, that most of us love playing at the state fair. Although it is pronounced the same. LOL. After freezing avocados, freezing apples as well as freezing blueberries this should be simple too. In today’s post we are looking at how to freeze guacamole.
Although the actual guacamole recipe is listed below, you can just make your favorite one and then skip to the freezing part at the end. Now you can save any leftovers for future use or actually just use it as a way to freeze your avocados. The recipe itself only requires 4 other ingredients besides the avocados. Keep any extras like tomato, onion, cilantro or jalapenos out of the ‘frozen’ version, it is better to add these after thawing your guacamole.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- avocados
- garlic cloves
- lime juice
- olive oil
- salt
- large bowl
- sharp knife
- chopping board
- potato masher
- ziploc bags
- mason jars (optional)
- fork (optional)
Before you begin make sure that you have thoroughly washed your avocados. Then they have to be put in half, pitted and also peeled before you can dice them. The garlic is added to the bowl, then the salt, olive oil and lime juice. I use a potato masher for mashing, but a fork will get the job done too. You can freeze the guacamole in ziploc bags or mason jars, the bags work best for me as they take up less space in the freezer.
