You don’t even have to be vegan, in order for you to enjoy this garlic grilled tomatoes recipe. It’s perfect for those warm summer nights when you’re grilling outside. It’s even better when paired with the bbq grilled shrimp skewers recipe, grilled huli huli chicken recipe or even this grilled chicken with roasted tomatoes recipe. So are you ready to fire up the grill?
My goal this summer is try a lot more grilling recipes, than ever before. This one is pretty easy with the tomatoes being the main ingredient and the herbs as the seasoning. The recipe calls for Roma tomatoes to be used, but I’ve tried this successfully with other varieties too. The total time including prep, seasoning and cooking is only about 15 minutes. Which I personally think is the perfect time for any recipe on the grill.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Roma tomatoes
- salt
- pepper
- garlic
- fresh basil
- fresh oregano
- olive oil
- sharp knife
- cutting board
- plate
- small frying pan
- tongs
- aluminum foil (optional)
Wash your tomatoes under running water before cutting them in half. It’s probably easier to place them on the plate when seasoning with the salt and pepper. Prep the other ingredients in the small frying pan as per the recipe, it shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes. When it comes to the actual grilling, some prefer laying aluminum foil over the grill first, however husband dearest just grills the tomatoes directly on the grill itself. Uuuuuh, Yummy! 🙂
