If they can’t build a Taco Bell near your homestead, the next best thing is to make your own Taco Bell, right? Actually we have featured quite a few copy cat recipes on this blog over the years. Remember the olive garden salad dressing recipe and the homemade bisquick recipe? Well I though today we could add this copycat taco bell quesadilla recipe to the list.
Don’t worry I will introduce more copycat recipes, as time goes by. But for today let us make these delicious quesadillas, from our favorite taco fast food joint. You will need 12 ingredients and about 15 minutes of your time. This recipe will also expose the ‘secret ingredient’ which will make these the best quesadillas you have ever made.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- mayonnaise
- pickled jalapeños juice
- minced pickled jalapeños
- garlic powder
- cumin
- paprika
- cayenne
- kosher salt
- flour tortillas
- shredded chicken
- shredded Monterey Jack
- American (or cheddar) cheese
- medium bowl
- whisk
- large skillet
When you combine the cumin, mayonnaise, garlic powder, paprika, minced jalapenos, cayenne and the jalapeno juice in the bowl, the end result is the sauce for your quesadillas. The kosher salt is for seasoning the sauce. The rest of the ingredients will be added one after the other on top of the tortillas over medium heat in the large skillet. Total cook time is about 4 minutes, with 2 minutes per side.
