Since Valentine’s Day is only a few days away, I thought it would be cool to share this Valentine crinkle cookies recipe with you guys. Instead of just heading out to buy something for the one you love you could make these for them. In previous years, I have shared this Chocolate peanut butter cookies recipe and this homemade chocolate eclairs recipe, which most readers seemed to enjoy.
As far as diy Valentine gift ideas are concerned, I personally like to stick to the edibles. Move over expensive box of chocolates, these simple delicious cookies will be taking over this year. This recipe calls for 6 ingredients only and saves you time by using a pre-made cake mix. Although you can manually mix everything in a large bowl, I would opt for the stand mixer or food processor to speed up the whole process a wee bit. This recipe should yield about 20 delicious cookies.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- vanilla cake mix
- vegetable oil
- eggs
- pink food coloring
- icing sugar
- large heart shaped sprinkles
- stand mixer or food processor
- parchment paper
- cookie sheet
- wire rack
We are baking today, don’t forget to preheat that oven. All the ingredients, except for the icing sugar and the hearts are mixed together the mixing bowl. After letting the dough chill, you can start rolling the dough into small balls and pressing the heart sprinkles into them. Another chill session in the fridge is required before the super quick baking session. I know it’s very tempting to take a bite straight outta the oven, but it’ll be wiser to let them cool down first. Trust me, I learn’t the hard way! LOL 🙂
