If you have not started freezing your meals, to save time in the kitchen on some days, you should really look into it. I have found that when I use for example our frozen rice or frozen mashed potatoes, I spend less time preparing meals for my family. That is the exact reason why I learnt how to freeze pasta too.
There are many advantages to having a bunch of freezer meals, prepped and frozen. For instance with the pasta, you can save up to 30 minutes. No waiting for water to boil or even for the pasta to cook. Just simply reheat and you are ready to serve. The best part is the pasta still pretty much tastes as if you just made it fresh, on that day.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- pasta
- olive oil or butter
- large stockpot
- colander
- ziploc bags
- marker
First things first, make your pasta as you normally would. That involves boiling the water and then cooking the pasta for up to 10 minutes. Drain the water and while it is still hot, you have to drizzle olive oil or butter over it. This helps prevents the pasta from sticking together.
Before you can pack the pasta, leave it to cool down. When packing, use bags or containers that allow you to make single meals for your family. That will make life so much easier in the future. Lastly, but definitely not least make sure that you label your bags and include the date too. 🙂
