Homemade Peach Jam Recipe

Thank god for all the peaches that came from our orchid this year. Although we really enjoyed eating them fresh, we just could not eat them all. In the past we have made homemade raspberry peach freezer jam and homemade strawberry peach freezer jam. In this post, I will be sharing this delicious homemade peach jam recipe.

I really enjoy making homemade jams, in my kitchen. It is a great way to preserve the all the fruit we have out back. My favorite jam recipes are the ones that do not require pectin. For example this particular one, only calls for one other ingredient besides the peaches. If you can get your hands on some peach puree, you will save yourself quite a bit of time and effort.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

First things first wash your peaches before mashing or pureeing them. Instead of throwing in all the sugar and peaches into the pot, at the same time you have to do it gradually. When you have mixed everything together, you allow the mixture to boil and then leave it to cool. Initially it will be syrup like, but after leaving it to set in the cake pan for a few hours it thickens. At which point the jam will be ready for either canning or freezing. The later is way easier.
