Many would argue that food is more important than water. Why then is it that you can only survive 3 days without water and up to 30 days without food? Especially during the hot summer months, we can enjoy homemade ice cream or even homemade fudgesciles. However, at the end of the day I prefer this homemade vitamin water, as not only does it rehydrate but it also nourishes your body too.
You can have a pitcher of this fruit infused water ready in less than 15 minutes. Unlike plain water, which by the way is already healthy for you, this version has more the vitamins, anti-oxidants, flavonoids that your body requires. Everything that goes into it is 100% natural, there are no artificial sweeteners or added chemicals. You can add your favorite fruits and herbs, or use whatever you have in hand when infusing your water.

Here’s What You’ll Need
- watermelon
- lime
- lemon
- red grapefruit
- cucumber
- mint leaves
- water
- ice
- sparkling water (optional)
- pitcher
- knife
- chopping board
After you slice and dice your fruit as directed, add everything to the large pitcher and mix well. Allow to sit overnight in your fridge, whilst the infusion magic happens. Your water should be ready to be served the next day and any leftovers can be stored in your fridge for up to 3 days. I like to whip up a pitcher every other day, to keep a constant supply of this super healthy water.
How To Serve: Grab a clean glass, and fill it about halfway with ice. Pour in your vitamin infused water, and add at least 2 pieces of fruit. If you have sparkling water on hand, you can add a splash of that too. Enjoy! 🙂
