Homemade Duck Feed Recipe

With a quack, quack here… and a quack, quack there, old McDonald had a farm. Well, he is not the only one who has some ducks on his farm these days. In previous posts, I have shown you how to set up a diy duck first aid kit, diy kiddie pool duck brooder and diy no mess duck waterer. I would like to share my favorite homemade duck feed with you today.

I love making different types of homemade feed for our livestock on the homestead. Not only does it help us save money, it is also an healthier option for them. This particular recipe requires 3 ingredients only. For your assorted frozen veggies you can use anything from peas, corn, carrots and even green beans. We have plenty of frozen produce from our garden, therefore no money will be ‘wasted’. I wouldn’t recommend making a large batch of feed, as the veggies may go bad if not eaten within a day or two.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

We all love simple recipes, hence you are definitely going to love this one. Simply measure out the ingredients into your mixing bowl or bucket and use your hands to mix everything together. When ready, you can recruit the younger family members to help you with feeding the ducks. Just grab handfuls of feed and toss on the ground for your ducks to enjoy. When I have a little ‘free time’ I like to spend a few minutes watching them, as they happily enjoy their food. LOL
