Homemade Chimichurri Sauce

How do you like your steak? Medium rare, is how I like to have mine. You know that no matter how good you are as a barbecue master, when you grill your meat, it tastes way better with some kinda sauce. I have already shared this homemade bbq sauce and this homemade montreal steak spice. You can also add this homemade chimichurri sauce to arsenal.

I have to admit when I first heard the name, I giggled a little. This sauce originates in South America, specifically Argentina and Uruguay. Interestingly enough, this sauce is served uncooked. I have never tried it, but you can also use it as a marinade. If you have never tried it, I recommend that you try this sauce with your next steak, seriously you’ll love it.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • italian parsley
  • fresh cilantro
  • onion
  • garlic clove
  • red chili pepper
  • red wine vinegar
  • fresh lemon juice
  • extra-virgin olive oil
  • small bowl
  • food processor or blender (optional)

After the taste, this is the next best thing about this sauce. It is ridiculously, easy to make. Just throw all the ingredients into a bowl, and mix well. The manual process will give you a thicker sauce, and is my preferred preparation method.

If you like your sauce smooth, then you can go ahead and pop all the ingredients into the blender. Switch it on to pulse, and let it run until your desired consistency is achieved. Although, you can enjoy it immediately, whenever possible let it sit overnight for enhanced flavors.
