After emptying your bottle of wine, there is a lot of things you can do with it. Remember the diy wine bottle plant waterer? There was a post when I also shared how to make diy wine cork plant markers, do you remember that? Well, today it is going to be all about this diy wine cork kitchen utensil holder.
This is just one of the many diy wine cork projects you can try. I like that besides the wine corks you only need the hot glue and the tin to get this completed. You may have to wait a while to collect those corks though, unless of course you drink a bottle of wine every single day. Also it is recommended that you stick to the natural corks versus the synthetic ones. They are just easier to glue together, I guess.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- empty tin can
- high-temperature hot glue
- glue gun
- natural corks vs. synthetic
- wax paper
Make sure you wash and dry your tin can before you begin this project. Your work area should be covered in wax paper. It is way easier to work with your can standing upright, arrange the corks around it and then use the hot gun to fix them in place. Working from both ends that is the bottom and the top of the can will allow you to be able to leave the corks to set before adding on another layer. Of course a little patience is needed, so take your time.
