DIY Pallet Goat Milking Stand

Donno if its just me, but I tend to find milking goats very therapeutic. Sometimes I use this diy mason jar goat milker, I shared with you in an earlier blog post. But more often than not I enjoy doing it manually. Although you may have already seen this diy goat milking stand, that does not mean you can’t explore using this diy wood pallet goat milking stand too.

I guess we could call this a repurposing project, as we will be giving new life to some wood pallets. Besides the wood pallets, you only really need some wood screws and a couple of tools to build this. It is then up to you to choose whether you want to go the easy route and use power tools. Or take the ‘hard’ route which involves manually prying out the boards. Sometimes the hubby likes to relieve some stress taking apart wood pallets, as a result we now almost have boards ready to go for various projects. Yippie!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

As already stated above, this project requires the individual boards from the pallet. This means that the first order of business is to dismantle the wood pallets. Once you have freed the boards, you can then start to build your milking stand. I love that the ‘catch’ is simply a board that pivots on a large screw and then hooks onto an eye hook to stay in place. I would put some washers, to reduce the amount of friction when the board swings open and shut.
