Have you ever tried clipping the hooves of a goat, whilst straddling them? Or even just milking your goats whilst they are tied to either a post or a tree. You probably know then how difficult it is to hold them down. Well, in this case you just need to build yourself this diy goat milk stand.
It is not the fancy type but it works, Jeremy was able to put this together using scrap materials lying around in their barn. Here’s the deal, before you get started see if you can use any leftover wood in your barn or shed. You can then head out to your local hardware store and buy whatever else you need. Doing it this way, will help you save a whole bunch of money!

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- 2×4 plywood
- wood siding
- jigsaw
- miter saw
- wood screws & nails
- handheld drill
- tape measure
- marker
- safety googles (optional)
The wood siding will be used as your floor piece, you can the custom build a frame to this using the 2x4s and then screwing every together. The legs are next and these are built using the 2x4s too. After attaching the legs to the floor piece, you can move on to the head catcher.
The head catcher is made from two long 2x4s with one shorter one attached between them. This too is attached to the floor frame. The head gate is next, with frame being crafted first before cutting out the area where the head goes using the jigsaw. He apparently didn’t have time to attach a food trough, so you can add that to yours or just hold a bucket of food for the goats when using the stand.
