Summer time, is always the best time of the year. In previous posts I have shown you how to grow popcorn, how to make this diy yard dice gamee and this diy backyard bowling alley too. Well, the minute I saw this diy outdoor movie screen, I knew we had to build one. It would be handy when we decide to have movie night, instead of games night. grin
I had to sift through quite a number of diy outdoor movie screen projects, on Google before picking this particular one. Since the frame is built from PVC, this makes the project very affordable too. It’s not a complicated build either, no one likes complicated things, right? For the projector, you can either buy one or build your own homemade one too.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- 1 1/2″ pvc pipe
- 1 1/2″ 45 degree elbows
- 1 1/2″ T fittings
- 10″ spikes
- full size white sheet
- 3/4 grosgrain ribbon
- sewing machine
- compound miter saw or handsaw
- tape measure
- marker
- projector (optional)
Bring out your tape measure to measure out the pieces and then cut the pipes. There is a graphic provided with the instructions at the link below to help you with the assembly process. Holes will need to be drilled for the stakes and the sheet has to be sewed as directed. Just make sure that it is slightly smaller than the frame, so that it stretches and reduces wrinkles on your screen.
