Although these patties are not mandatory they do help boost your hive, especially when you there is a shortage of pollen. Here’s What You’ll Need:
- dry pollen substitute
- cane sugar
- water
- bowl
- ziploc bag
- wax paper or newspapers
- honey bee food supplement (optional)
By scanning the above list of required ingredients, you probably guessed right that this is a pretty simple recipe. You just want to add the pollen substitute to your bowl, then add the cane sugar and lastly the water. The amount of water you add is determined by the your desired consistency. If you want to include the honey bee food supplement that goes in last. Your patties can be stored in the freezer for a couple of months, until needed.
