DIY Collapsible Greenhouse Shelves

Honestly, I never thought I had this problem until I watched this video! LOL I mean we have built quite a number of greenhouses from the diy chicken coop greenhousee to the diy wood pallet greenhouse. It never did occur to me that we could actually install these diy collapsible greenhouse shelves in any one of them.

If you went out there to purchase your own greenhouse shelves you would probably discover a couple of problems. Most of them tend not to be full size and also many configurations are tiered hence they leave you with less workable space within the greenhouse. This project will allow you to remedy the second problem, you will be able to move the shelves out of the way in order to make more space for you to tend to your plants.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • miter saw

    -------------------------------------------------------------------
  • measuring square
  • marker
  • chisel
  • handheld drill
  • super glue
  • orbit sander
  • wood screws
  • plywood

The shelves are tiered, however instead of having them all fixed you are able to push in and pull out the second and bottom shelves. The bottom shelves will pull out further than the second shelves in order to allow the plants on them to get full exposure to the sun. Measure and make your cuts on the upright supports for your shelves.

Make sure that you pre drill all the holes, to ensure that you have tighter and stronger bonds. Optionally you can add some super glue to reinforce the joints, but it is not necessary. With your uprights in place, you can then turn to building the shelves. The rails installed on either side of the shelves allow them to slide in and out as needed.
