DIY Chicken Picnic Table

Picnics will always have a special place in my heart. Growing up, we used to love having family picnics at the park or in the woods. A few weeks ago I discovered these diy chicnic table plans, and I knew that I had to build one for my girls. Already on this blog you will find these diy chicken treat holder, these diy chicken poop scooper and these diy chicken coop swing.

There was a time, a few years back, when I was overwhelmed by the number of diy chicken coop plans that were available on the internet. For this project, I would recommend that you use scrap wood or leftover wood from your earlier projects to save a few extra bucks. I am still trying to decide whether its better to build one large table or a few smaller tables. I guess the size of your coop or the number of chickens will determine what is needed. This project should take less than one and half hours to complete.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Well, there is a large number of cuts that need to be made starting with the top of the table. Lucky enough, the instructions have a list of all the required cuts. Most of the cut pieces have to be sanded down before they can be glued together or attached. When you have all your pieces in hand, you can then begin the assembly process. The last step involves choosing whether to stain with a non-toxic food safe finish or paint the completed table. The girls can now enjoy their new ‘picnic table’. 🙂
