If you have not been using natural coop cleaning solutions, now maybe a good time to start considering them. The manufactured cleaners that you buy in stores may have harsh chemicals that are not good for your girls. The good news is if you have pine trees on your homestead and grow cinnamon in your garden, you already have two out of the three required ingredients. The third ingredient which makes the base is not expensive at all. The combination of the scents from this cleaner should help deter most bugs that may want to invade your coop.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- evergreen pine branches
- cinnamon sticks
- white vinegar
- mason jar
- spray bottle
For this cleaner you are going to be using both some crushed needles from the branches as well as the branches themselves. The mason jar is packed with all the natural ingredients and then topped up with the vinegar. Once the lid is screwed on, find a nice spot to store the jar and let it sit for a few weeks. Don’t forget to give the jar a good shake every single day. You’ll know the cleaner is ready when the cinnamon and pine scent overwhelms the vinegar scent when you unscrew the lid.
