If you love sticky, gooey stuff, you are going to love this one. Unlike the other desserts that I have previously shared on this blog such as the lemon meltaways recipe and the no bake lemon cheesecake recipe, this one is one is very rich and dense. It’s your lucky day, I have decided to share my this perfect sticky toffee pudding recipe, with you today.
It is actually one of my faves when it comes to classic British dessert recipes. You can expect a soft texture with a lot of sweetness and stickiness. There’s two main components to this one, you have the crumbly moist pudding and the toffee sauce that soaks into it. Although there is a whole bunch of ingredients, the prep time is only about 30 minutes, which is not bad at all.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- pitted dried dates
- water
- butter
- brown sugar
- vanilla extract
- large eggs
- molasses
- golden syrup or substitute dark corn syrup
- all purpose flour
- baking powder
- baking soda
- whipping cream
- small saucepan
- food processor or blender
- muffin tins or bundt pan
Since there is two parts to this delightful dessert, you can start from the bottom working up. Most of the ingredients for the pudding itself are mixed and blended together in a large bowl. Except for the dates which initially have to be heated with some water, then pureed in a food processor before finally being added to the already made batter.
The sauce is also super easy to make. In another saucepan, you just bring all the ingredients to a slow boil for about a minute or two and it’s ready. You can either use muffin tins or a bundt pan. The later requires double the time in the oven than the muffin tins, however you can serve more people. I like using the muffin tins as they are the perfect serving size. This recipe serves up to 18 people. Yummy!:)
