With everything that is currently going on around the world, today I just felt like treating my sweet tooth. In previous posts I have shared the homemade nougat recipe, the easy chocolate mousse recipe and even the lemon meltaways recipe. Today’s post is all about how to make this peanut butter Rice Krispie treats recipe, in your own kitchen.
For me personally, I have added this to my snack recipes. However, I know some people who will have these as dessert too. With just six simple ingredients, that are readily available in any kitchen you have these ready to enjoy in just a few hours. Although you leave them to set in the baking dish, there is actually no baking or oven time needed. Also if you like yours a little gooier, then hold at least half a cup of the Rice Krispies when making yours.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- unsalted butter
- mini marshmallows
- peanut butter
- Rice Krispie cereal
- chocolate chips
- vegetable oil
- non stick spray
- baking pan
- large saucepan
- air tight container
Prepare your baking sheet for baking, before you get started. Three ingredients are melted over low heat in the saucepan i.e. the peanut butter, butter and mini marshmallows. Don’t mix in the Rice Krispies whilst the heat is still on. You can use a wooden spoon to press onto the pan, however your lightly greased hands, will work just as well too.
Lastly melt the chocolate chips add the vegetable oil and then carefully pour over the contents of the baking pan. Leave to set for a minimum of 2 hours. All that’s left to do is to cut, enjoy and store away any leftovers! 🙂
