These will look cute perched on your sofa, not mention how handy they can be. Just imagine your cup of coffee or your laptop resting on them. In previous posts we have built this diy upcycled lamp side table and this diy wire basket side table. If you were able to construct any of those two projects then you should not have any problems when it comes to these diy sofa tables.
I am not a certified diy project grader, however if I was, this one would be classified as a beginner diy project. Even better, is the fact that you can use any scrap wood that you may have lying around. The are no fixed measurements for this project, therefore you can build one for any sofa, regardless of size. Although painting is optional, I personally would recommend that you at least apply a few coats of wood stain to make it more durable.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- 2×2 boards
- small piece of wood
- miter saw
- handheld drill
- wood screws
- wood stain
- wood paint (optional)
The initial steps involve measuring and cutting the 2x2s. When assembled, you should end up with 2 wooden squares for making the base and the tabletop support. Like she did, it’s probably wiser to determine the length of the legs by actually measuring your sofa’s height. The table top is then screwed in place and the painting/staining is final step, before you can use the table.
