Homemade Toilet Bowl Cleaner

When you live off grid, it is always a good idea to know how to cook up your own homemade products. We have made homemade liquid laundry soap and homemade oven cleaner before, today I ran into this homemade toilet bowl cleaner recipe that I thought I would share with you guys.

I love this, because it is all natural and only requires two ingredients. I am sure everyone has these two somewhere in their house. You do not even have to mix the two ingredients together, you just use them one after the other to get your sparkling clean and fresh toilet bowl.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • white vinegar
  • baking soda
  • toilet bowl brush
  • essential oils (optional)

When you are ready, approach your dirty toilet bowl with your brush and the two ingredients. You then put some baking soda into a cup and sprinkle that around your toilet bowl. You follow that up with your vinegar, and leave them on the bowl for up to 15 minutes.

After which you cam scrub your toilet bowl, before giving it one last flush. If you have problems with water running into your bowl, while you wait you may want to shut off the water valve before you begin. I would personally also add some essential oils for fragrance.
